In mid-April 2023, Fuse Energy, previously named Tesseract Energy, launched a competition on LinkedIn promising 3 free solar panel installations and 15 commission-free installations for UK homeowners.
I entered the competition and was really excited when I received the following letter confirming that I had won the prize of a solar panel installation.
This was an empty promise from Fuse Energy. Despite receiving various follow-up messages and promises to arrange a survey of my house, Fuse Energy ultimately failed to deliver on their promise or offer any alternative.
The below WhatsApp message was the last that I heard from them regarding their solar panel competition.
I'd like to resolve this amicably with Fuse Energy and I'm currently in contact with their Head of Legal. If they cannot reach a settlement, a case will be opened with the Advertising Standards Authority.
